Membership

Surgeons, who received all of their training in the Department of Surgery, as well as present surgical faculty at Columbia University Medical Center, are eligible to become active members of the John Jones Surgical Society. Surgeons who trained in part, including fellows, in the Department of Surgery and past surgical faculty will be considered for membership by the Membership Committee on an individual basis. Current Residents and Fellows in the Department of Surgery are eligible to join as candidate members. Surgeons who trained at the Presbyterian Hospital in departments other than the Department of Surgery, who wish to join the Society and are interested in its aims, are welcome to apply as Associate Members.

If you have questions regarding eligibility or membership in general, please contact Trisha J. Hargaden via email tjh2104@cumc.columbia.edu or at 212.305.2735 between 8am – 4pm EST.

Updating Our Files

As alumni advance in their careers, take on new roles, change cities or move overseas, the Society attempts to keep their information current through its database. As part of that process, we are inviting members to provide us with their current information via an on-line questionnaire. To activate the questionnaire, click on the "Alumni Questionnaire" link.

Re-connecting with Missing Alumni

Our missing alumni list contains many alumni whom we have lost contact. If you have any information on the whereabouts of missing members, let us know by contacting the Administrator: "Trisha J. Hargaden" or call 212.305.2735 between 8am – 4am (EST).
