Kenneth Autencio is the outpatient CWOCN in the Division of Colorectal Surgery. He completed the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Certification in 2016. His experience ranges from long term care, outpatient wound care, and acute wound and ostomy care. Kenneth´s passion for ostomy care started when he was assigned as lead Ostomy RN of ERAS program at NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. He finds it fulfilling to see the progress of a patient from meeting for preop surgery education to postop recovery.
As Kenneth navigates the outpatient wound and ostomy care practice, he works closely with the inpatient Colorectal CWOCNs to discuss patients' clinical issues and complex cases. He appreciates the support of the division and believes that there is a lot of opportunities for growth and development through evidence based research.
