Effect of Preoperative Breast MRI on Surgical outcomes, Costs and Quality of life of Women with Breast Cancer
To to test whether patients undergoing a breast MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) before breast surgery will have better results after the surgery.
Are you Eligible? (Inclusion Criteria)
Inclusion Criteria
Stage I-II breast cancer, which must be either breast cancer that is HER-Stage I or II breast cancer that is either HER-2 positive OR negative for estrogen, progesterone and HER-2 (triple-negative disease), and scheduled to be removed using breast conserving surgery.
Exclusion Criteria
- DCIS; bilateral breast cancer;
- known BRCA mutation;
- history of hormonal therapies, tamoxifen, aromatase inhibitors;
- history of chemotherapy within 6 months or partial breast irradiation
