Damaris Carriero is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing in the School of Nursing of Columbia University and practices in the Center for Liver Disease and Transplantation.

She manages patients with chronic liver disease and patients in the pre- and post-transplant phase of care. Ms. Carriero has a subspecialty in HIV medicine and a Specialist designation from the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVS). Her clinical specialties include viral hepatitis, co-infection, autoimmune liver disease, and metabolic associated fatty liver disease. She has published numerous articles on hepatitis B, hepatitis C and co-infection.
