About
Nicole Golden is certified by the American Academy Nurse Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Columbia University School of Nursing in New York NY. Previously she received her Master’s of Science in Nursing from Pace University Pleasantville New York and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Mercy College Dobb’s Ferry, New York. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society and has earned many awards and honors during her clinical and academic performances. Most recently she was named a Mary Dickey Lindsay '45 Nursing Scholar, 2017 from Columbia University School of Nursing.
Nicole’s nursing career spans over 20 years with most of her prior experience predominantly in the acute and intensive care settings. She began her career as a registered nurse on the Transplant/Vascular Unit at Westchester Medical Center in Westchester, New York in 1999. After a few years she accepted a position in the area of cardiology at Montefiore Medical Center in The Bronx New York. She later transferred back to her love of transplant surgery and accepted a position in the Surgical /Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit at Montefiore Medical Center where she cared for transplant patients directly following their surgery and various types of critically ill surgical and neurosurgical patients.
For the past 10 years she has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in the role of Clinical Coordinator at The Center for Liver Disease and Abdominal Transplantation at Columbia University Medical Center in New York. She is also a member of the Clinical Faculty at Columbia University School of Nursing. She is co-investigator on numerous research projects in the areas of viral hepatitis and liver transplantation.

Practice Philosophy:
Nicole believes the key cornerstones of providing excellent healthcare are caring, competence and compassion. She focuses her care on patient education, disease prevention and health promotion. She is a co-founder of Black Liver Health Initiative.
